Indications
Lipomodeling is suitable for men and women of any age. Often, the procedure is used in the following cases:
- aesthetic correction of the figure: weight loss + increase in the problem area (chest, buttocks, thighs);
- recovery after heavy operations or injuries – fat transplantation is aimed at filling skin or muscle defects and restoring normal body relief.
At the preliminary consultation, the surgeon will definitely ask where you want to remove the fat and into which zone it should be transplanted.
Contraindications to lipomodeling
As with many other plastic surgeries, there are a number of contraindications to lipomodeling. The main ones are:
- severe chronic diseases in the acute stage;
- acute infectious processes, especially with fever;
- local pathology, which will prevent taking away or transplanting fat tissue: rashes, skin diseases, tumors, inflammation;
- systemic and autoimmune diseases;
- diabetes;
- oncological processes;
- a tendency to form keloid scars;
- intolerance to drugs used in the operation;
- period of pregnancy or breastfeeding.
The process and features of lipomodeling
Directly before the procedure, the doctor makes a markup on the skin. This is necessary so that during the operation it was easier to find out where to get and where to transfer the fat tissue. If the patient desires, a photo can be taken before the lipomodeling, in order to compare it with the result in the future.
When the preparation is finished, the surgeon begins to disinfect the surgical working area. Doctors go to the main stages of the operation:
- Pain relief. Anesthesia during lipomodeling is largely dependent on the volume of the operation. Local anesthesia is most commonly used.
- Sculpting zone. The doctor forms the relief according to the structure so that the body looks natural and aesthetically pleasing.
- Liposuction. The surgeon removes fat tissue from problem areas.
- Fat mixture processing. The adipose tissue is centrifuged and filtered to obtain a homogeneous emulsion.
- Fat cell transplantation. The procedure ends with the transplantation of fat in problem areas of the body. Fat cells with this approach perfectly settled down in the subcutaneous adipose tissue, look aesthetically pleasing and do not give allergic reactions.
Lipomodeling is a relatively simple procedure, after which the patient can leave the clinic on the same day.
Rehabilitation period and aftercare
The rehabilitation period after lipomodeling will take approximately 10-14 days. During this time doctors do not recommend:
- perform any heavy physical exertion;
- long stay in the sun or sunbathe;
- taking baths, saunas, and attending swimming pools;
- smoke and take alcohol;
- perform other plastic surgery or cosmetic procedures.
